Everyone has a favorite holiday. Mainly it's Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas. Me? I love Easter! I love everything about it. The message behind it, the colors, the smells of Spring, starting anew and who can forget the candy. My house was all decked out and has been since Spring Break. I even coordinate the big egg hunt with our family with prizes and everything. The kids AND the adults really get into it. Need I say more?
Clay's folks came up from Georgetown, TX to spend the holiday with us. We had a wonderful time with them catching up, shopping and playing with Courtney. They're always up for trying something new so decided to go to a place on Rt. 66 called Pop's. My family, some of our friends and a lot of my students all talk about this place so we had to check it out. You know the bars that have about 100 beers on tap? Imagine that, but it's pop. It's not all on tap though. It's in a fridge and you get to pick out your own. It was so much fun just looking at all the different types that it can be a tad overwhelming.
Courtney loved Pop's! She's a people watcher (like her dear old mom) so that made her happy watching all the bikers, families, etc come through. And she LOVED the crinkle cut fries. The girl couldn't eat enough of them. Here are some pics of our afternoon on Rte. 66
She was in paradise...grilled cheese and fries!
Enjoying the restarants "backyard."
The family pic in front of the Pop's giant bottle.
She couldn't believe it! : )
Our 2009 family Easter picture. Yep, that's my mantle all decked out!
Courtney with Grammie and Papa. Forgive her for not smiling. I had to wake her up from her nap so we could get over to my sister's house for our family dinner.
Here is Courtney with her cousin, Kelsi. Yes, we had them in matching dresses. We plan on milking that until they're able to say something!
We hope everyone had a Hop, Hop, Hoppy Easter!
