Does eating this shirt make my belly look big?

Happy 30th Birthday!

We had a low-key 30th birthday for Clay. Even without air conditioning at home and a new fence going up, we managed to squeeze in an afternoon of fun at Clay's office and the Cheesecake Factory!

First we stopped by Clay's office so they could all meet Courtney. She was a hit! What's not to love when she's not screaming, but instead make adorable faces at Clay's bosses. Here's hoping that helps out come annual review time! :)

She was very curious to see what her dad does all day long when he's not at home making silly faces at her!

After impressing the bosses, we went to Cheesecake Factory where Courtney looked out our food with envy. She was really eyeing our to go boxes! If you look closely, you can see the drool coming out of her mouth.

When she saw that we were making sure she didn't get any adult food, she tried to smooth things over by giving us her best Elvis smile.

We had a fun day with Daddy!

Fun Times at Camp Wilson!

I would love to write and tell you how wonderful and relaxing my first full week of summer vacation has been. Sadly, it was full of action that kept me and Courtney out of the house until tonight.
Tuesday night we noticed the house felt a little stuffy. Clay took a look outside and the AC would not come on. Luckily, we have a home warranty so he made a call, but they couldn't come fix it until Friday morning. So off Courtney and I went to my sister Brooke's house! To add to it, Brooke and my other sister, Tiffany, were on a cruise. So my mom was there to watch my 2 nephews and niece. So here are some pics of our time spent at "Camp Wilson" as I've been calling it!

Courtney took some time to play with her cousin Kelsi's toy.

She and Kelsi practiced sitting up like big girls!

She spent some time hanging out in the exersaucer too. Her cousin, Brandon, enjoyed showing her what to do.

Kelsi loved showing Courtney how neat it is to smear prunes all over your face and then smile at her Aunt Farm!

See how much fun we had a Camp Wilson? We can't wait to go back. Perhaps next time it will be just for fun, not in order to stay cool!

A Memory-al Day Weekend

We a GREAT Memorial Day weekend. First, it was fun to spend a long weekend with the little one.

Her Grammie and Papa T came to pay a visit. She loved all the attention. She loved it so much that she didn't want to sleep Saturday night and kept her mom up ALL night.

Courtney is now eating oatmeal cereal 3 times a day along with a bottle. What can I say? She's a Harstad. She's gotta eat! She was eating in her bouncy seat, but it was getting dirty with dried up cereal. So we brought in her highchair today. She ate dinner at it tonight and loved seeing things from a different point of view.

Courtney is also smiling a lot more and even granted us some smiles for the camera (YIPPEE!). But all good things must come to an end and well....she ended up crying. But hey...at least we got some smiley pictures!

Here's hoping your Memorial Day was full of memories like ours!

Like a Totally Awesome Day at School!

As school is coming to a close (that would be tomorrow for those of you that don't know), we had a dress-up day today....80's day! The kids got into it and they loved the fact that I showed them how we all danced back in the day. We had a big dance party in my room. One of my boys even did the worm. I. LOVE. IT.

Brooke and I really got into it. Perhaps a little too into it, but it sure was fun. Here are some pics of our gnarly day!

You would think that the highlight would be just having a fun day. Right? Wrong! The fun part was the construction crew breaking the water main to the school. Then having the pleasure of being bussed to the nearby middle school so we can take potty breaks! Don't you just love it?
My summer officially begins at 3PM tomorrow!
Hope you all had a rad day!

It's Coming, I Promise!

I've promised a lot of people that I would start a blog just as soon as school is out. Lucky for them the last day of school is this Thursday, May 22. I think I'm more excited than my students! Don't get me wrong, I love my little ones, but boy am I ready to be a summertime mom! We have lots of playdates set for Courtney along with a trip to Texas so she can spend time with family and friends.

More posts in a few days when I have time to breath! Now it's back to report cards!
