Future OSU Tri Deltas!

Courtney and I had a playdate with some of my sorority sisters. We all had girls within months of each other. It was a fun afternoon chatting and playing with all the girls. Jill's 10-month old twin girls, Jamie and Jacey, are crawling all over the place. Luckily, Sarah's 6-month old girl, Claire, and Courtney just sit there. In a few months it will be chaos with all four moving. Kelly came over too. She still has her little baby baking in the oven, but she'll be making her debut in a few weeks! Here are some pics from our funfilled afternooon:

Courtney and I had a great time as you can see. We feel very blessed to know that Courtney will be surrounded by friends that will grow up with the same set of values that we'll instill in her!

Reunited and It Feels So Good!

After being gone for a week, Courtney was missing her cousin, Kelsi. The Wilson's are moving so we went over to their new house to play with Kelsi while they set-up the kitchen. Kelsi was SO excited to see her cousin again. The squeeling was quite loud when she saw Courtney. And then Courtney started squeeling too. I guess she was telling her where she was, but then again- I don't speak "baby" so who knows what they were saying. It was too cute!

A Lot of Firsts!

I know, I know. I'm falling down on the job of blogging. It's been a little crazy lately and a lot of firsts have been happening for us!

First, Courtney made her first long distance trip. She got her 2nd round of shots the day before we left which was not a smart move on her folks part! Let's just say, we got zero sleep the night before a 6+ hour drive to the Austin area! It made for a long day! At least we broke it up and stopped to stay the night with our friends, D and Kasey in Temple, Texas. Their little girl, Alayna, was born 3 weeks before Courtney. Alayna is adorable and LOVES to share smiles. Here is a picture of Courtney meeting her new friend:

The next day we made a very short car ride to Georgetown, Texas where Clay's folks moved to in February. It was our first time to see their gorgeous new house! We spent 4 days there seeing the town, Clay got some golf in and I did some shopping. Clay's sister and her partner also came into town from Las Vegas. They are moving to Austin July 1st so they wanted to get the "lay of the land" so to speak! We're very excited to have them a little closer to us. Here are some pics of our time with Clay's family:

While we were there Courtney had a couple of firsts. She rolled over from her tummy to her back. The great news is the Clay and I both witnessed it together. We were thrilled, but boy was it hard not to yell "YEAH!" since we were trying to get her down for the night. Her other first was that she discovered her tongue. Now we're working on her sticking out her tongue when we say "Show me your licker!" So far, she's not buying it.

We had a wonderful time in Georgetown and Courtney was tuckered out and slept most of the way to Allen, Texas, our next and last stopy on our trip. We stayed over night our our friend's, Matt, Cathy and Abby Tenner. We haven't seen Abby since October so we were in for a treat. She's a bundle of nonstop energy! But she and Courtney made fast friends.

As you can see, there were tons of firsts. First road trip. First time to roll over. First time she's discovered her tongue. Oh yeah, while we were at the Tenner's, she discovered her voice. Now she won't stop jabbering! It was only a matter of time. I mean come on - look at who her mom is!

Courtney is 4 Months Old!

Can you believe it?! We sure can't. These last 4 months have flown by so fast! Courtney is "talking" more with each day. And by "talking" we mean making funny noises. She loves to sit up (not by herfself just yet) and look around at everything. She has also discovered The Wiggles and loves to bounce around to the music.

A Little R & R

There isn't too much to report here at the Harstad house. We started off the week celebrating birthday's and tomorrow we'll celebrate the soon-to-be arrival of the Goode baby. :) We also have to give a shout out to Mondi who turned 30 yesterday. She's celebrating in style with a trip to NYC! Happy Birthday dear friend!!
Here are some pictures we took yesterday. It was a nice day at home despite the wind!

Notice she's wearing a bib. Why does she need a bib while in her swing? If you look closley, you can see her wet shirt due to drooling!

Hanging out with her cousin, Kelsi. They were holding hands while playing. Too cute! Notice that Courtney's shirt is still wet from drool!

Courtney and Kelsi decided to take a little stroll around the backyard.

When we came in from the backyard, Courtney was begging to play beauty shop. So of course I obliged and painted her toenails. The picture is kind of blurry since she wouldn't keep her feet still after they were painted. She loved looking at them!
Have a wonderful weekend!

An Exer-Summer and Meeting Mommy's Traveling Friend

Courtney has discovered a new favorite- the exer-saucer! Which makes her mom very happy since it gives her time to get stuff done around the house like folding laundry!

She's also coming around to liking "tummy time". It's still not something she loves, but she'll endure Mom's wishes for about 5 minutes! We're working on rolling over, but it's a lot of work to work those ham hocks!

Today Courtney got to meet her mom's friend, Kitty Cupp. Okay, so her last name is now Horeis, but she'll always be Kitty Cupp to those of us in OKC! She flew in from Denver for a few days to visit family and friends. Kitty has been to all 7 continents (including Antarctica where she met her hubby!). Hopefully, Courtney will follow in her footsteps and see the world!

Kitty's mom, Kathy, was my P.E. teacher growing up. Courtney loved smiling at her and even giggling. It made Kathy's day!

Trip to the Lake and a Visit from the White's

Yesterday we made a trip over to Lake Arcadia. For those of you not in the area, it's about 20 minutes east of where we live. We went there to celebrate Andy and Jeremy Pappas' birthdays. The White's were there too (since they're related to the birthday boys!). Here are some pics of our time there. We didn't get in the water...it was a little too cold and dirty!
Courtney finally got to meet the infamous, Jeannie! I've known her (and the rest of her family) since I was in elementary school.

James and Clay had to play it up with Courtney's dirty diaper! James loved the aroma!

Clay and his girls, Morgan and Courtney. (Adriane was too busy to pose.)

As we were going home, I looked down and Courtney was doing something that thrilled her dad. She was doing a Gun's Up! Seeing as she had her Tech pacie in her mouth, I let it slide. If it were her OSU pacie...it would be pistol's out!

Here are some pictures of Courtney and her BFF, Adriane, from today. Adriane was so lovey dovey on her. She loved to give Courtney hugs and taught her how to dance to the Wiggles!

We had a great weekend...with an air conditioned house and all! Let's hope this week is calmer than last week!
